COLTEX: THEN, NOW, NEXT

The story begins in Qingdao, a coastal city known not only for its sea breeze and beer, but also for its deep industrial heritage. Thomas Tang, a key technical and production executive at the Qingdao factory of a world-leading American provider of electrical connection and protection solutions, spent years honing his craft. Those years gave him a rare combination of global vision and hands-on expertise — grounded in theory, but proven in practice.

Between 2019 and 2020, an idea began to take shape in his mind: what if he could build an industrial cooling solution based on his own standards — with greater integrity? In 2021, that idea became reality. The Coltex factory was born, along with the COLTEX brand. The core team members all came from the industrial refrigeration industry — they had seen too much short-term thinking, and wanted to build something different: a company rooted in long-term value.

From the very beginning, Coltex defined its mission: to build the company on conscience, to empower through technology, to create value for customers, to contribute to the industry, and to bring warmth to society. Its vision is to become a long-term value leader in the refrigeration industry, enabling industrial upgrading through precise temperature control.

At Coltex, every cooling unit is more than a machine — it is a promise: a promise to be precise, to be energy-efficient, and to be responsible to the people who use it.

The story has just begun. What will Coltex look like two decades from now? Perhaps more than just a manufacturer — maybe a neural network connecting global industrial temperature control systems, or an international brand representing Chinese precision engineering, or even a set of standards, a school of thought, a benchmark for reliability. One thing we know for certain: twenty years from now, Coltex will still be protecting value with temperature, and honoring its name with time.
